Refrigerator Side Hanging Shelf Rack

Installation Guide:

The entire back of the steel frame is equipped with a large, flat, high-strength magnet. It does not require suction cups, adhesive, or drilling.

1. Surface Preparation

Before attaching the rack, the surface must be properly prepped. Even a thin layer of kitchen grease or dust can act as a lubricant, causing the magnet to slide.

• Clean: Use a mild detergent or a 50/50 water-vinegar solution to wipe the side of the refrigerator.
• Dry: Ensure the surface is completely dry. A damp surface can lead to rust or trapped moisture between the magnet and the fridge.

2. Installation Steps

The magnets on these racks are quite strong. To avoid pinching your fingers or scratching the appliance:

• The "Hinge" Technique: Instead of slapping the rack flat onto the fridge, align one vertical edge first, then slowly "swing" the rest of the rack toward the surface until the magnet catches.
• Check for Flush Contact: Ensure there are no gaps. If your refrigerator has a textured "orange peel" finish, press firmly to ensure the magnet is making maximum contact with the metal.
• Avoid Seams: Do not place the magnet over the seam where the refrigerator's side panel meets the front frame, as this uneven surface will significantly reduce the weight limit.

3. Component Assembly

Most models come with the wooden rods detached for shipping.

• Rubber O-Rings: Look for small silicone rings in the packaging. Slide these onto the ends of the wooden rods after you have inserted them through the steel loops. This prevents the rods from sliding out when you pull on the paper towels.
• Hook Placement: If your model has detachable hooks, snap them onto the bottom rail before you load the rack with heavier items.

4. Weight Distribution Tips

To prevent the rack from "creeping" (sliding down the fridge over time), distribute the weight logically:

Center of Gravity: Place the heaviest items (like full boxes of foil or glass spice jars) on the top shelf, centered in the middle of the rack.

Towel Tension: When using the paper towel holder, pull downward rather than outward to keep the pressure directed toward the fridge surface.

Side Balance: Avoid hanging very heavy items (like a heavy metal meat cleaver) on only one side of the bottom hooks, as this can cause the rack to tilt.
